This Body
”This Body” explores the concept of self-care, drawing on the personal experiences of artists in diverse fields. The animation weaves together the stories, thoughts, and feelings of a dancer, a writer, and the animator in order to simultaneously identify their common struggles with caring for the self, as well as tentatively represent what makes each feel whole.
Created with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, the Toronto Animated Image Society, and the Artists’ Health Alliance.

Chief Joe Capilano
In 1906, Chief Joe Capilano led a delegation of Chiefs to England to meet with King Edward VII and ask for justice for Indigenous peoples.
